You can find salty Zeeland cheese at Boerderij De Stolpe, made using traditional methods. Here you will not only find mature farmer’s cheese, but also cheeses with various herbs, nuts and even pesto.

Of course, your table is not complete without the right decoration. Visit Pluktuin La Fleur in Noordgouwe, where you can pick the most beautiful flowers yourself from March to September. Tulips, roses, sunflowers… Every day there is a flower in bloom.

Welcome to Bruinisse, the mussel village par excellence! This cycle route takes you through the rich history of mussel culture, from which Bruinisse derives its identity. With its active mussel fleet and annual fishing days, the mussel here is not just a delicacy, but a lifeline for the local community.

Bruinisse once had 120 fishing vessels that sailed the Oosterschelde and Grevelingen for mussel fishing. Today, 23 mussel farming companies, mussel wholesalers and specialized shipyards still flourish here. And don’t forget the Mussel Guild, a unique partnership between local restaurants, growers and traders who guarantee the best mussel quality.

Cycle over the dikes of the Grevelingen and discover the mussel farms in the water. At the Slikken van Bommenede you can enjoy the beautiful view of nature and the bird nursery of Zeeland. Also special: the only saltworks in the Netherlands that extracts the salt directly from the seawater.
